方一勺（蒋佳恩 饰）自幼失去了父母，过着孤苦无依的伶仃生活，虽然吃尽了生活的苦头，但方一勺对未来还是充满了希望。方一勺早早就展现出了在烹饪方面的天赋，总是能够做出温暖人心的料理。在一场意外中，方一勺遭人暗算，在误打误撞之下代替才女方瑶（朱佳希 饰）嫁给了浪荡子沈勇（雷牧 饰）。 就这样，大大咧咧的方一勺成为了沈家的媳妇，她开朗乐观的个性和烧得一手好菜的功夫很快就征服了公公婆婆，但沈勇对这个毫无才华只知道做饭的姑娘却充满了轻蔑。随着时间的推移，方一勺所展现出的特质渐渐吸引了沈勇的目光，一段错位的情缘就此拉开序幕。
