昭和30年代ごろ、高度経済成長期真っ只中の日本をもとに、 サーカスが娯楽の中心として、人々の生活に溶け込む時代。 最高峰のサーカス団のみが参加を許される、 世界の祭典「キルクスコレクション」への出場を懸け、 数多くのサーカス団が日本各地を移動しながら公演を行い、日々しのぎを削っている。 舞台は、団長の麻利亜が率いる「ひまわりサーカス」。 万年金欠に悪戦苦闘しながら、各地で巡業を行っている「ひまわりサーカス」の元に、 とある事情でサーカスの天才・鶴巻瑞佳がやってくる。 個性豊かな「ひまわりサーカス」の団員たちと瑞佳の出会いは偶然か必然か…… 夢追う少女たちが描く唯一無二のサーカスショウ、開演！
