Die totgeglaubte und äußerst intrigante Sydney Andrews hat das Apartmenthaus, in dem sie früher lebte, inzwischen gekauft und es einer gründlichen optischen Generalüberholung unterzogen und neu vermietet: u.a. an Ella Simms - PR-Agentin, zielstrebig, mit allen Wassern gewaschen und erfolgsverwöhnt.
