    Jeffery Latham, who has just returned from his tour in Korea, has no luck hitchhiking when he enters a roadside diner. While there, the owner of the coffee shop offers Jeffery a job and a place to stay. Things are looking good for him with a stable job and even a relationship with a pretty girl. Things begin to look grim when Jeffrey is tricked into transporting some stolen goods. While driving on an unlighted road, he is shot at and crashes into another car. After fleeing the scene, he finds out that the other driver was a police officer. Jeffrey now has to choose between working for a local gangster and turning himself over to the police.
