The 1900 House

One family gets to have the ultimate adventure, traveling back in time from the Information Age to the Victorian Era. The series follows the Bowler family, hand-picked out of thousands of applicants, to live for three months inside a completely restored Victorian-era house. They are allowed no modern-day comforts, not even electricity (it was too expensive for a family of their class!). Watch as they do everyday tasks we take for granted: cooking, cleaning, even at-home entertainment, with the things they had available in 1900 Britain. "The 1900 House" is commonly referred to as Season One of PBS's "House" series. Others include Manor House, 1940s House, Colonial House, and Frontier House.
