Il se trouve que Henry et Edward partagent le même corps ! My Own Worst Enemy explore la dualité d'un homme qui doit gérer ses deux personnalités. La série pose également la question : à qui pouvez-vous faire confiance quand vous-même avez du mal à vous faire confiance ? Un thème qui n'est pas sans rappelé Dr Jekyll et M. Hyde. Henry Spivey, un tranquillo manager, sposato, due figli e un cane, condivide da anni a sua insaputa il suo corpo con Edward Albright, una spietata spia che lavora per una associazione governativa top secret, che invece è a conoscenza della presenza di Henry. Ma che succede se un giorno qualcosa non funziona come dovrebbe e l'equilibrio perfetto tra i due opposti va in frantumi? Succede che Henry, tormentato da uno strano sogno e dopo aver trovato qualcosa lasciato inavvertitamente da Edward, ne scopre l'esistenza e tutte le sue certezze crollano in un istante. Inoltre si trova suo malgrado costretto a vivere per poco nei panni dell'altro... e tutto inizia a complicarsi ulteriormente...
