Flashpoint is an emotional journey following the lives of members of the Strategic Response Unit as they solve hostage situations, bust gangs, and defuse bombs. They work by utilizing their training to get inside the heads of these people in order to make them reach their breaking point (aka their flashpoint).

Overview:	"שניות מאסון" היא דרמת אקשן חדשה מבית CBS המספרת על יחידת תגובה אסטרטגית בשם SRU. היחידה מורכבת מצוות עילית של אנשי משטרה אשר יודעים לעשות את העבודה שלהם. אירועים עם בני ערובה, תפיסת כנופיות, ניטרול פצצות, שיכנוע אנשים לא להתאבד הם רק חלק מהדברים שהיחידה עושה. היחידה משתמשת בשוקרים חשמליים, רימוני הלם, צלפים, זיהוי קולי, מחשבים ולווינים שונים כדי לבצע את תפקידה. שוטרי היחידה מוכשרים בייחוד עבור המצבים הנ"ל, ביכולתם להבין כיצד עובד ראשם של הפושעים, ולתמרן אותם בכדי למנוע ממצבים שונים להחמיר ובעצם להציל חיי אדם. Flashpoint je detektivní drama o elitní jednotce kanadské policie, která se nazývá "the Strategic Response Unit" (SRU). Do repertoáru této speciální skupiny patří řešení extrémně nebezpečných situací, se kterými si pravidelná policie neví rady. Mimo jiné to jsou případy, ve kterých figurují rukojmí, bombové hrozby, těžce ozbrojení zločinci a podobně. Na řešení takových situací jsou také patřičně vybaveni. Disponují smrtícím arzenálem a špičkovým vybavením (granáty, omračující zbraně, sniperské pušky, speciálně upravené brokovnice a pod.). Členové SRU musí používat svou intuici a dobrý úsudek, aby svěřený úkol vždy splnili a zamezili ztrátám na životech. Se trata de una producción canadiense que gira en torno a las misiones que realiza la SRU (Unidad de Respuesta Estratégica), una unidad especial de rescate de la policía, que se enfrenta al rescate de rehenes, lucha contra bandas callejeras, desactivación de explosivos o negociaciones con atracadores. La Unidad de Respuesta Estratégica está constituida por un equipo de policías que son la élite y han tenido que demostrar que son los mejores de su profesión para ingresar en este grupo. De titel serie is vernoemd naar het psychologies aspect van het werk, wat ook de focus is van de show: In het hoofd komen van de verdachte om zijn emoties "flashpoint" te gebruiken om de zaak veilig en zonder geweld op te lossen. Alleen als laatste oplossing word geweld gebruikt. Сериал о работе и жизни членов SRU (группы стратегического реагирования). Они решают ситуации с заложниками, противостоят бандам, разряжают бомбы и решают сложные конфликтные ситуации. С виду — они обычные люди, делающие свою работу. Но каждый труп, который они оставляют за собой, ложится тяжелым грузом на их плечи.
