Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts is a horror themed side-scrolling action/platform game for the Super Nintendo. It stars a knight named Arthur, who is attempting to rescue a Princess from a group of demons led by Emperor Sardius. In the game, you begin with a shut of armor, which will fall off if touched by an enemy. When this happens, you are left to defend yourself in nothing but your under ware. There are armor upgrades, bronze and gold, which give arthur more magical powers. The game is a sequel to Ghosts ’n Goblins (originally an arcade game) and famously ported to the NES.
