《做工的人 電影版》故事將拉回影集版的11年前，在一處大型公共工程中，阿祈（李銘順 飾）、阿欽（柯叔元 飾）鐵工兄弟檔揮汗上工，與投緣的昌哥（游安順 飾）、阿全（薛仕凌 飾）逐漸成為相互關照的好友。愛作夢的阿祈發現，憑著他驚人的直覺和運氣，如果能上實境節目「幸運到誰家」似乎能圓個發財夢，於是拉老婆美鳳和兒子小傑報名要闖關拚大獎，這回做工的人如何繼續認命不認輸？！
