新聞記者植松は、友人の発明狂谷井の発明した万能複写機で1万円をコピーしたところ、ニセ札を発見。国際ニセ札偽造団が日本に魔の手を延ばしていることを知った。植松の命を狙う国際ニセ札偽造団だが、植松は谷井の妹悦子に夢中。そのとき、悦子がなにものかに誘拐される。独自の捜査で悦子を探す植松と谷井。だが、その怪しい行動が誤解を招き、警察からも追われるハメになってしまう。
