３年前に交通事故で妻を亡くした町田市小学生２年生の息子・ユウトと同居し、刑事課に所属する大友哲は、OLとの合同パーティーに出席せざるを得なかった。芝の依頼で。途中、上司の福原さんから電話がありました。 神田神保町の古書店街では、裕福な人々が数人殺害され、家が火事になり、お金が盗まれたという強盗放火殺人事件が発生しました。しかし、渋谷は毎日自主尋問中に滞在しているホテルで中毒を起こし自殺。翌日、大友は特別捜査本部に加わるように頼まれ、真の犯罪者であると主張する渋谷の幼なじみである篠崎優が現れて混乱した。元上司の福原の命令に抵抗できない大友は、気が進まない合同党をまとめ、特別捜査本部のある神田警察署に駆けつける。
