徳川慶喜

２６０年余り続いた江戸幕府、最後の将軍・徳川慶喜（よしのぶ）を通して、日本史上最大の動乱期である幕末を幕府側から描いた作品。薩長同盟が結ばれ、倒幕の動きが激しくなる中、慶喜は第十五代将軍に就任する。たくましく生きる江戸庶民の日常や下級武士の生活を織り交ぜながら、国を背負い、命がけで時代と格闘した若き指導者、徳川慶喜の苦悩と葛藤の半生を描く。

Through the Edo Shogunate, which lasted for more than 260 years, and the last shogun, Yoshinobu Tokugawa, this work depicts the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the greatest period of turmoil in Japanese history, from the Shogunate side. Yoshinobu becomes the 15th Shogun while the Satcho Alliance is formed and the movement of the defeat becomes fierce. It depicts the anguish and conflict of Yoshinobu Tokugawa, a young leader who carried the country on his back and struggled with the times at the risk of his life, interweaving the daily lives of the common people of Edo and the lives of lower-ranking samurai.
