این سریال روایتگر داستان مردی به نام مظفر خان زرگنده است که خان یک محله به نام قلهک تهران است و به همراه پدر و مادر و فرزندش در آنجا زندگی می‌کند. این مجموعه هرشب ماه رمضان (به جز شب‌های قدر) از شبکه سه سیما ساعت ۲۱:۱۵ پخش می‌شد. این سریال تا کنون تنها سریال مهران مدیری است که در ایام ماه رمضان پخش شده.
