  • S2021E09 The Taylor Swift Stan that went to Prison

    A Taylor Swift fan account, LegitTayUpdates on Twitter, went inactive for 2 months in 2019, as they were in a prison in Israel. Once the Swiftie made a returning tweet explaining their lack of parody updates, the Taylor Swift Updates account went viral on stan twitter. From sneaking in One Direction fanfiction to punching a guard in the face, legittayupdates managed to update their followers of their prison antics, through letters given to a friend. After a series of news articles and a podcast interview that allowed they to educate others, N, the account owner, disappeared after their accounts were removed.
