    This time on "Lens of Culture," Tai and Elton take on the Big Easy, in a big way. They kick off the show with an alligator swamp tour. Then they meet up with tour guides for a personalized photo shoot. Elton hits the streets in search of the best pralinês in town, and Tai gets a little taste of culture at the Mardi Gras Museum. They bring it all home at the hottest restaurant in New Orleans, "Neyow's Creole Cafe". On the tasting menu are charbroiled oysters, garlicky crab claws, and Gumbo.     This week on "Lens of Culture Tai and Elton find everything hip, hot, and happening in Brooklyn. They kick things off at the MoCADA Museum, for a look at the exhibit, honoring Spike Lee. Then they head to "Lakou Café" a Haitian-inspired eatery. Elton catches up with famed skater DeDe Lovelace and learns some fancy footwork and moves. He also drops by to meet up with Brooklyn's finest, Tyanna Wallace, daughter of the Notorious B-I-G. Tai meets up with actress Demaris Lewis for a foodie adventure, that includes stops at "Brooklyn Tea" and a cake tasting at BCakeNY. They...

  • S01E03 Puerto Rico

    Tai and Elton head to Puerto Rico baby for this episode of "Lens of Culture". They head to a little town called Loiza, which is the Afro-Caribbean soul of Puerto Rico. Next, it's a drive off the beaten path to discover the Pinones, a beachfront area for some authentic African/ Puerto Rican cuisine, and they get a once-in-a-lifetime cooking lesson. They wrap things up with a visit to one of Puerto Rico's most celebrated and talented artists, Samuel Lind. They tour his art studio, which is also his home and gets a lesson on culture, and art.

  • S01E04 Palm Springs & Joshua Tree

    On this episode of "Lens of Culture" Tai and Elton venture out into sunny Southern California. They take us to Palm Springs for some adventure and some good old fashion fun in the sun. And they really kick things up with a Glamping trip to die for. The outdoor excitement takes off with a one-of-a-kind guided ATV ride. They hit the sandy desert at high speed taking in all the beauty of the trails, the mountains, and the breathtaking views.

    This time Tai and Elton hit the streets in Philadelphia, PA, also known as the "city of brotherly love, and sisterly affection." They kick things off with a riding lesson at the Chamounix Equestrian Riding Center and meet up with one of their equestrian champions. Then they head to the "Colored Girls Museum for a "VIP" tour. The Colored Girls Museum is a memoir museum, which honors the stories, experiences, and history of ordinary Colored Girls. Every black girl and woman should attend, and you'll see why after this feature.

    It's a Party with a Purpose on the Tom Joyner Cruise. Tai and Elton jump right into the fun, they also find out that the purpose of this cruising adventure is all about providing scholarships for historically black colleges and universities. Elton and Tai then catch up with some of the dopest artists on the ship to get a look at their work. Take part in a yoga class, and they also go on a culinary journey with today's top black chefs. When the ship docks in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic they take us to the Damajagua cascades, where Elton takes an adventurous cliff ...

  • S01E07 Ghana

    • November 2, 2020

    Tai and Elton take viewers on a cultural tour to Ghana, West Africa. They head to Akwamu for a traditional African dubar, and are given their official African names at a renaming ceremony. Then they head into a small community in Ghana to get a one-on-one lesson in traditional African cooking, and a lesson on authentic African clothing design. They wrap things up with a little nightlife fun at the annual Chale Wote Street Art Festival.

  • S01E08 St. Thomas

    • November 9, 2020

    Tai and Elton hit the streets on the island of St. Thomas, where they connect with locals through food. They sample delicious island curry, with rice, and beans. They also find out how much love goes into conch fritters which is an island favorite. Next, they visit a bake shop called "My Brother's Workshop Cafe" where kids get a lesson in baking and a lesson in life. Finally, they meet up with Assata Afua, founder of "The Black Power Theatre," where they get music, art, and a spoken word performance.

  • S01E09 Accra, Ghana

    This time on Lens of Culture, Tai and Elton are taking on the city of Accra in Ghana. They head to the market and shop for clothes, jewelry, and art. Next, they sample Kelewele and Jollof Rice at a local hot spot. They take a deep dive into the culture with a dance and drumming lesson and later explore the hidden fashion scene. They wrap things up by raising a glass and toasting to a great time in Ghana.

  • S01E10 Harlem

    • November 23, 2020

    Tai and Elton take viewers uptown to Harlem USA. A place steeped in African American history and culture. They kick off things with the super-duper dope Hip Hop tour complete with music, dancing, and graffiti art. Elton takes us to the famous "Flamekeepers Hat Club" where he gets a one-of-a-kind hat, and then he sets up a photo shoot on the famous "Strivers Row" in Harlem. They wrap things up at "Red-Rooster" restaurant, they catch up with Marcus Samuelsson and the fierce young women who work with him, who are making their mark on Harlem's culture.

    This week, it's all about California Love. They begin the adventure in Malibu with breathtaking views while Paragliding. Tai heads back to LA and kicks off her series "Beyond Ready" with a women's only brunch that will feed your mind, body, and soul. Elton heads to the historic Leimert Park in Los Angeles to check out the vibe, get a little history, and culture. They wrap things up with a ride down Hollywood Boulevard on the Cycle Trolley.

  • S01E12 Year of the Return, Ghana

    On this special episode of Lens Of Culture, Tai and Elton take viewers on a cultural tour to the motherland, as they celebrate "The Year Of Return." The show is filled with ceremonies, dances, rituals, and a meet and greets with the President of Ghana. Next, they head over to the Jamestown Slave Castles for an emotional look at the past including a tour of the "The Door of No Return." Finally, they wade through the waters of the ancestral slave river park otherwise known as "The Last Bath."
