Hosted by Jack Wagner, Julie Moran and Ali Landry and held in Chaguaramas, Trinidad and Tobago - This is the 48th Miss Universe pageant. There are 84 contestants this year, but only one will be the winner. The judges have voted and Mpule Kwelagobe from Botswana is crowned Miss Universe 1999.
