John Woodruffe is tormented by memories of the horrors he suffered in a Japanese prison camp during World War II. He recalls his vow to avenge the death of a chaplain executed by Sakamura, the brutal camp adjutant. Years later, Woodruffe finds himself face to face with the object of his bitter hate, Sakamura.
