Elsewhere, Peter races to an emergency lambing. Farmer Phil's ewe is expecting triplets, but has been unable to deliver two of them due to complications. Peter has to administer mouth-to-mouth resuscitation once the lambs are born, but will it be enough?

    Peter rushes to an emergency lambing at Rolland Norris' farm. When he arrives, he realises a ewe has prolapsed while trying to give birth. He later meets a goat named Buddy, who has come to the practice in Thirsk to get the dreaded `snip'. It sounds simple, but Peter discovers that Buddy's anatomy is somewhat non-standard in this area, and he will need to operate to complete his task. At Boroughbridge, Julian looks after pampered pug Ffion, who has taken playtime a bit too far and badly broken his leg. Julian needs to screw a plate onto the bones to allow it to heal, but it's a tricky job.
