Growing up in California's Bay Area, graduate student Hali is feeling the pressure of living in the most expensive real estate market in the U.S. So she's going tiny to cut costs and find a permanent place to call home. With her boyfriend Nathan along to give advice, Hali is traveling to Billings, Montana, to meet with a local builder there and look at model tiny homes that fit within her $64,000 budget. Hali wants to avoid a lofted bedroom at all costs, but finding a tiny home with space for a bed on the ground and the open layout she wants is no easy task. Will Hali be able to find the light-filled tiny home she's been dreaming of?
