The competing Travel Girls all touch down in their first location Bangkok, Thailand. After a production meeting it is time to get into the competition. Working through the day and night the girls are tested at Bangkok’s markets with pieces they have to perform to camera. But is the stress of the competition already too much for some of the girls? Problems are also already starting in the crew, as the executive producer goes head to head with the series producer.
The Travel Girls and crew touch down in tropical Phuket, but there is no time for relaxing by the pool. Some of the girls will need to overcome their fears to complete their next task at a snake farm, and they will all need to work together as they perform in front and behind the camera. The tension continues between Dean and Jaala and the crew needs to decide which side of their fight they are on. And are the rumors true that Travel Girl Heather has fallen for one of the camera crew?
The Travel Girls are faced with their most glamorous, but challenging task yet…a swimwear photo shoot with a top fashion photographer. The girls all look great, but there are problems behind the scenes with host Stacee showing her diva attitude for the first time, and Jarna once again breaking down in tears. The girls tackle presenting tasks around the local islands and from the back of an elephant, and party girls Kira and Heather are busted sneaking home after a big night out. The Travel Girl’s time is up in Thailand, and the girl’s next locations are announced…but not everyone is happy.
The Travel Girls have been divided and spread across the world. Kira and Heather have hit Tokyo, but their minds aren’t on the competition, as Heather’s fiancé has called off their engagement. Suzie has travelled to Paris with host Stacee, but Stacee’s demanding diva behavior is already causing problems for the crew. Jarna and Natalie have hit Rome, but their producer Joe is far from happy with their performance and enthusiasm for the competition.
In Tokyo Kira and Heather sample the Japanese lifestyle, but all the stresses in Heather’s personal life are taking their toll on her performance in the competition. In Paris Stacee continues to be a diva, and Suzie is brought to tears as one of her dreams comes true. Natalie and Jarna sample the pizza in Rome and then hit the town. All of the crews have a big night out, but not everyone can handle their alcohol…what will be the aftermath?
In Paris Suzie is beginning to feel the pressure of the competition and struggles with her tasks for the first time. When Stacee fails to help her in her time of need Suzie puts an end to their friendship. Kirra discovers another side to Heather when they visit Harajuku to witness the crazy costumes. And everyone in the crew is beginning to suspect the truth in Heather’s many stories. In Rome the crew have an audience with the Pope, and a run in with the police! And the next destination is revealed…
All of the crews are reunited in Brisbane, Australia, but no one is happy with the room arrangements. Executive producer Dean is back in the fold and stirring up trouble amongst the girls. The crew all visits Australia’s Sea World and the girls get up close with polar bears, sharks and seals, and Stacee continues to get everyone offside with her diva demands. Trouble starts when the girls decide to protest and boycott one of their challenges and are all missing from their accommodation. The first girl to go through to the next round of the competition is announced, but not everyone agrees with the decision.
Suzie, as the first girl through to the next round has jetted off to Hamilton Island with her own crew, leaving the rest of the girls to enjoy Australiaʼs Movie World and WetʼnʼWild Theme Parks. Problems abound for the girls: there are concerns for Kirraʼs health, Heather has to face facts about her relationship, and Jarna is ready to crack under the pressure. The competition steps up a notch as two more girls make it through to the next round, and two girls are sent home.
The top three girls Suzie, Natalie and Heather have each been sent off to a beautiful location in Australia with their own crew. On Hamilton Island Suzie is taking to the open sea, but Joe isnʼt impressed with her performance. In Sydney Natalie is experiencing the Opera House and Blue Mountains, but she is still struggling to get her personality across. And in Hobart Heather canʼt hide her lack of enthusiasm for the competition, as boyfriend problems take up all of her time. Heather also drops a bombshell about her role in the competition!
The top three only have one day of challenges left to impress the judges, and they will need to pull out all stops to make it into the final round of the competition. In Sydney Natalie is going extreme with jet boat rides and a walk in the clouds. Heather in Hobart is tackling a mountain on bike, and on Hamilton Island Suzie explores the Great Barrier Reef from the water and sky. All of the crews converge on the Gold Coast and another girl is eliminated, revealing the top two.
On the Gold Coast the final two competitors Suzie and Heather have only one chance to prove they should win the competition. Heather finally begins to take the competition seriously, and Suzie begins to suspect a conspiracy. After weeks of travelling across the globe all of the competitors meet once again for the announcement of Travel Girlsʼ winner. But even with the announcement, not is all as it seems behind the scenes…
