Preparations for Sap Day in Treetopolis are thrown into turmoil as the Mushas decide to change the celebration to Stink Day, with stinky fungi that send the smeller to sleep. Twigs greedily eats Ariela's special booster berries, which causes random growth spurts. As he desperately tries to hide his dramatically growing hands, ears and feet from his friends - to avoid getting into trouble for eating the berries - he causes no end of trouble. Only Tom and Big World Magic help from the audience can save Twigs and Treetopolis.
Tom is distracted by a group of sprites that hero-worship him and form a dedicated fan club. Tom is distracted by the attention and neglects his friends when they need his help. This leads them into escalating trouble with some very bouncy springbeetle eggs and the even bouncier springbeetle hatchlings!
Zigzoo's job to make all of the spincakes for Spincake Day - a special day for floating magical pancakes - is thrown into turmoil by Musha mischief. Zigzoo makes a machine to make spincakes for everyone. Puffy disguises herself as a frog and distracts Zigzoo. He leaves his machine and it quickly goes out of control, leaving it up to Tom to stop the Mushas and an escalating storm of spincakes and to save the day!
Tom loses a special toy bear and his search for it becomes an epic adventure as his tickle teddy falls into the Mushas' hands. Tom has to battle the Mushas' messy mischief and his friends' misgivings about his beloved bear to win through and, with Big World Magic help from the audience, save the day.
Tom and Twigs find Rickety's old racing car, the Turbo Rantula, and challenge the Mushas to the most famous race in Treetopolis, the Conkerball Run. They compete to win back the Conkerball Cup, a prize Rickety lost to the Mushas a long time ago. Tom, Twigs and Zigzoo form Team Treeling and learn to work together to overcome epic obstacles and cheating Mushas. It's a race to the finish with team work the winner.
On a day of fun and pranks in Treetopolis, the Mushas use a crafty trick to cause trouble for the Treelings, making it look like Tom and Twigs are to blame. They have to find out how to thwart the Mushas' masterful mischief to clear their names and save the big party at the end of the fun festival. It's only with Big World Magic help that Tom can really save the day.
Zigzoo builds a train in the sap caverns to help Squirmtum with his work but gets carried away making it into a fun ride and doesn't build it properly. Not listening to Squirmtum's warnings has hair-raising consequences and Tom and Twigs become embroiled in what is literally a rollercoaster adventure! Tom can only save his friends, the sprites, the caverns and the day with Big World Magic help from the audience.
Strange treequakes beneath Treetop Castle lead Tom and Twigs into an epic adventure in the caverns on the trail of a giant woodgrub. Running into much bigger trouble than they'd expected, Tom and Twigs must brave the shaking sap tunnels full of holes and sticky slime to save their friends and stop the castle from collapsing.
It's carnival day in Treetopolis and Tom gets more than he bargains for when he uses magic to make himself funny. When he joins Twigs' comedy act, Tom's magic causes him and his friends no end of trouble as they try to reach the courtyard to perform their acts to win the Carnival Crown. The Mushas want to win the crown and splatter the sprites with boohoo berries too and Tom has his work cut out to stop them as no-one can stop laughing for long enough to help him!
The Tree Fu Rangers go on a mission to earn their Fungus Finder badges but through some thoughtless decisions by Tom and Twigs and a little sabotage by the Mushas, things don't go to plan. After they jettison some essential supplies, Tom and Twigs find themselves caught out as an emergency arises. They save the day the hard way and learn a valuable lesson about being prepared.
Ariela is on a quest to find magical bubble roots, using her pet grub Glowy to sniff them out.
When Twigs selfishly breaks the last Squizzle and the Mushas spore bike runs out of juice they are forced to work together on a quest to find the elusive Squizzle tree deep in the Fungus Forest.
Tom and Twigs learn a new spell involving a magic potion and some Tree Fu moves. Tom struggles to master the spell.
When Squirmtum finds a sapstone belt, he decides to become a superhero, leaving behind his day job as a sap collector.
A magical golden spore floats across Treetopolis. When it pops during a quarrel, it grants wishes that weren't intended.
It's a Ranger Day and Tom and Twigs are keen to earn their Super Helper badges. Offering to help everyone who asks, when they ask, they quickly become overstretched to the point of breaking. Put in charge of Treetog's prized sap-root plant, they fail in their duty of care, allowing it to grow rampantly out of control. As the sap-root searches out a source of food in the caverns, the very foundations of Treetopolis are put at risk.
Tom and Twigs help Ariela get rid of weeds that burst into ear-splitting song and crescendo until they explode.
An unusual fungus causes an outbreak of triccups in the castle. Tom, Twigs and Zigzoo have to find the remedy.
Tom, Twigs and Chezz head out to find sparkle spores guarded by the legendary bigfoot beetle. Is the beetle real or just a story?
Rangers Tom and Twigs plant carrot seeds in order to earn their Green Fingers badges. The carrots grow rapidly and oversized, creating a dilemma of how to harvest them. Zigzoo approaches the problem from underground, using his helping-hand gadget to push the carrots upwards. In so doing, he sends the carrots skywards - causing them to rain down on all and sundry. Thinking they are under attack from the carrots of doom, the friends retreat to the safety of the caverns to discover the real cause of the problem. In the end, something that at first scared them becomes harmless and quite delicious.
Tom and Twigs are learning to use a magic scroll that allows them to create objects by simply drawing them. Tasked with collecting slimeweed seeds by Treetog, they rush into drawing a machine to make the job easier. The Slimeweed Seed Express works a treat at first, but as they realise it's missing a brake, it runs amok. Now full of slimeweed seeds, the machine is snaffled by the Mushas, who attempt to drive it to the castle and create mayhem. It's a race to wrestle control back and save the castle from a slimeweed invasion.
A crop chopper, hover platform and web line go missing in Treetopolis only to be found in a new Zigzoo invention. Having borrowed the items without asking, Zigzoo inadvertently creates a mystery for Tom and Twigs to solve. Turning detective, they find the missing things and discover that Zigzoo has also taken berries from a very annoyed boing beetle. The beetle goes on a rampage to find the missing berries, putting everyone in its path in jeopardy. Using Big World Magic, the berries are returned to their rightful owner, and Zigzoo learns a valuable lesson: 'ask before taking something'.
In competition with Chezz to be the Ranger with the most awards, Tom and Twigs attempt to earn too many badges in too little time. In the process they cut corners, fail to complete the tasks they were attempting and let down Ariela and Zigzoo. Seeing the error of their ways, they learn to take their time and in the end do the jobs properly and earn one badge each.
Stink accidentally discovers the long-lost Golden Crown of Greatness and is magically elevated to regal status with control over everyone in Treetopolis. Everyone, that is, except Tom. Installing himself in the castle, he orders his subjects around until he realises he is obliged to be responsible for them. Judging sparkle spells, naming baby aphids, launching a boat - everyone wants something from the King, and it becomes all too much for Stink. In the end he decides he wants his old life back, chooses to give up the throne and with Tom's help puts the crown out of harm's way.
Tom arrives to find everyone preparing to celebrate Winterfest, the Treetopolis version of Christmas. In his excitement to tell Tom about the festival, Twigs leads Tom to a beautiful party scene decorated with all the trappings of the season. In their haste to explore it, they accidentally destroy it. Will they be able to restore everything in time before the Winterfest celebratory party begins?
Tom and Twigs want to learn red magic with a mysterious new guru called Muru, but to do it they need a red crystal which can only be found in the deepest, darkest caverns. Squirmtum guides them, but when Zigzoo's shiny new Mega Torch 4000 breaks, everyone is plunged into darkness! To make things worse, Squirmtum's friend Flicker vanishes, captured by the Mushas who want to use him to find their own red crystal. Will they ever get out of the caverns? Will Tom ever learn red magic? And where is Muru?
During Tom and Twigs's red magic lesson, Muru is called away unexpectedly, and a meddling Twigs manages to break his magic stick, which then comes to life and starts flying around Treetopolis! Tom and Twigs chase it all the way to the Dead Branch Desert, where they find a whole bush of magic sticks. But instead of taking just one, Twigs gets greedy and grabs more - causing him to start turning into wood! Will Tom be able to save the day and Twigs with red magic? And what will Muru do when he finds out about his stick?
When Tom and Twigs invite cave-dwelling, light-sensitive dark sprites Rootle and Shade to come with them above ground, they use a Shadowbot to shield them from the light. Things go well until the machine runs out of power. As the shadow starts to shrink, the dark sprites panic. Tom uses BWM to power it back up, but then Twigs puts a red crystal into the Shadowbot's power cell, causing it to run off and spread permanent darkness wherever it goes. It's up to Tom to stop it, and quickly!
During a tussle, Chezz and Twigs break a strange object belonging to Rickety, and Rickety sets them the Ranger challenge of finding all the bits to rebuild it. But despite Tom's best efforts, Chezz and Twigs keep bickering. They decide to split up and find a different bit each, but disaster strikes and Tom has to rescue them with Big World Magic. They finally realise it's best if they all work together to find the pieces.
It's the day of the Treetopolis pet show, Trufts, and Twigs is trying to train his buggle, Whizzy. Things don't go too well and, in the process, Whizzy gets mized up with Whiffy, an identical looking but badly behaved buggle owned by the Mushas. Things go from bad to worse when Whiffy creates havoc by sending a herd of aphids into a wild stampede! Can Twigs work out how to get Whizzy to round up the aphids and bring them safely home?
Today the Wonderful Wish Fruit ripens and there is a race because whoever picks the first one, chooses what all the fruit will taste like. Tom and Twigs borrow the Turbo-Rantula. They nearly end up in a chasm but Tom rescues them with the 'Elephant Power' spell but then the Turbo-Rantula overheats and breaks down. When they finally arrive at the fruit they find everyone stuck to the plant's leaves. Can Tom save the day, and who will get to choose what the Wonderful Wish Fruit tastes like?
Tom is unable to master the Rhino Charge spell and in order to help him understand the spirit of animals, Muru suggests he and Twigs accompany Ariela as she treks to the Red Rock Canyon with her beetles to find sparkle bark to cure their fungus. A sawdust storm soon blows up and Tom has to use the 'Digging Desert Mole' spell to rescue Ariela and Twigs, then the Mushas cause a rockslide trapping some of the beetles and Tom has to try and master the 'Rhino Charge' spell in order to save the day.
Rickety's granddaughter Racquette is visiting Treetopolis and Rickety is determined to stop her doing anything too exciting. She talks him into letting Tom and Twigs show her around and they start at Ariela's Ranch, where Racquette accidentally causes Teabiscuit to stampede. Then she triggers a jittery pea avalanche that threatens the Castle and finally she causes the cavern coaster to hurtle towards the bottomless pit with her and Twigs onboard. Is she trying too hard?
Tom, Twigs and Bertie pull a boat out of the slime lake and decide to play pirates. However, things quickly get out of control
Muru sets Tom and Twigs a quest to find something really, really, really amazing. First they have to navigate through a maze, but while doing this Twigs accidentally triggers a runaway grumbleberry and has to be rescued by Tom using the 'Speedy Cheetah' spell. They then find a dried up plant before having to flee some out-of-control spikes triggered by the Mushas. Finally they end up trapped in a cavern - will they ever get out and find out about the really, really, really amazing thing?
