海港市护城河的一起突如其来的离奇“浮尸案”，致使战功累累的刑警队长陆萧（秦俊杰饰）泥足深陷。嫌疑犯绰号“水鬼”，不但拥有极强的反侦察能力，更具备超出人类极限的潜水能力。陆萧与新搭档房一彤（李梦饰）在追查“水鬼”的过程中历经波折，更失去了挚爱的未婚妻姜一然（黄梦莹饰）。正当陆萧迎来至暗时刻，看不见的杀手“水鬼”却波澜再起，他的下一个凶杀目标疑似号称海港市首富的企业家程丽君（陈燃饰）。陆萧唯有依靠强大的意志力、非凡的克制力与过人的智商和勇气，在房一彤的协助下，依靠支离破碎、毫无头绪的线索，逐步攻克这一起史无前例、错综复杂、迷雾重重的连环悬案。而在前方无尽黑暗中等待他的，将是一个凶残至极、无所不能的超级杀手 。
