水野ハルカ(村川絵梨)は幼い頃、レストラン経営を目指す父・陽介(渡辺いっけい)に連れられて大阪から湯布院に移住した。陽介に愛想を尽かした母・木綿子(真矢みき)が家を出て行き父子家庭となったが、レストランはすぐに廃業。短大を卒業したハルカは離婚した母の住む大阪に行き、母と衝突しながらもツアープランナーとしての才能を開花させていく。人に幸せを贈る仕事「観光」のプロとして修業する中で、幸せの意味を学び、新しい「家族の食卓」を手にするまでの青春記。
