Die Kriminalrätin Eva-Maria Prohacek wechselt nach fast 20-jähriger Tätigkeit an der Polizeischule Augsburg in die neugegründete Abteilung 411 im Kommissariat München und übernimmt deren Leitung. Unterstützung erhält sie von Hauptkommissar André Langner, der über seine Versetzung in die Abteilung 411 alles andere als begeistert ist. Der Dritte im Bunde ist der Leiter des Kommissariats Dr. Claus Reiter.
