ふとしたことから自分の人生を振り返る事ができる場所「走馬灯株式会社」に迷い込んだ人物がDVDに記録された自分のこれまでの人生を観たことで不思議な出来事に巻き込まれていく。各エピソ－ドの多くは前後編となっているが、時折1話で完結するものや3話以上にまたがって展開されるものもある。各エピソードはサスペンス、ホラー、ハートウォーミングなどさまざな路線のストーリーが展開されている。特定の主人公は設定されず、走馬灯株式会社主任の神沼もいわゆる狂言回しとしての登場となっている。
