Our investigators focus more on the social and historical background of the tales gathered by the Brothers Grimm than on their psychological interpretations. With their completely new approach and methodology, they pursue the murders, tragedies and fates of those who have since metamorphosed into fairy-tales figures. Figures such as Margarethe von Waldeck, a.k.a. Snow White. Alleged mistress of King Philip ll of Spain, beautiful beyond words, despised by her stepmother Catharina, murdered in Brussels. The seven dwarfs? Children and deformed adults who worked in a mine...founded by Margarethe's brother in 1561. The land of the fairytales really does exist - in much different sense than we've ever known before. It may be a little less pretty, but it's no less captivating.
