本作は、ラーメン業界をけん引する「清流企画」社長の芹沢達美が、苦境にあえぐラーメン店を救うフード・コンサルティングの物語です。原作は、久部緑郎・作、河合単・画の『らーめん才遊記』。2009年から2014年まで『ビッグコミックスペリオール』で連載された、ラーメンを題材としたコミックです。テレビ東京ではこれまで、「孤独のグルメ」や「きのう何食べた？」など、食をテーマにしたドラマを放送してきました。本作「行列の女神～らーめん才遊記～」も、テレビ東京がビジネスを切り口に、コメディタッチで味つけた、新たな食テーマ作品となります。
