Set in the Joseon Dynasty, where female detectives were called “Damo.” It tells the story of Damo Chae Ok, who uses unique techniques, sword fighting, and martial arts she learned as a child while investigating the crimes involving the women of the upper class. As she works to solve crimes, she must avoid a charming male rebel leading a crime ring that she can’t help falling for.

La storia racconta di Chae-Ok, che da bambina fu separata da suo fratello, in quanto suo padre, un nobile, fu accusato di alto tradimento. Dopo quell'episodio, Chae-Ok è costretta ad essere una schiava e cresce imparando a combattere insieme al suo amico d'infanzia Hwangbo (quello che poi diverrà il suo Comandante), riuscendo a farsi strada diventando una Damo (una donna-detective di bassa classifica).
