Seri, an unknown yet talented female chef from the country, arrives in Tokyo to work at French restaurant, Etoire, but discovers that they have gone out of business due to the departure of their main chef. Together with the restaurant's former manager, she opens a French restaurant of her own and begins to recreate the flavors her late father mastered as a famous gourmet chef. Unfortunately, Etoire returns with an unscrupulous manager, and to make matters worse, Seri learns that it happens to be owned by her birth mother living in Paris who she hasn't seen since she was a child. Seri wonders if her passion and skill will be enough to succeed.
Seri, talentueuse chef cuisinière encore méconnue, sors de sa campagne pour aller à Tokyo afin de travailler dans un restaurant français, Étoile. Cependant, le restaurant ne marche pas bien depuis le départ du chef. Elle décide d'ouvrir son propre restaurant avec l'ancien manager du restaurant Étoile. Elle tente de recréer les saveurs que lui avait enseigné son père, un ancien chef très connu. Seri apprend alors que c'est sa mère, qu'elle n'a pas vu depuis son enfance qui reprend l'Étoile.

しかし、働くはずだったフレンチ・レストランは既に人手に渡っていた。
鸭泽濑理（矢田亚希子 饰）出生在厨师世家，她的父亲是名震料理界的厨神。或许是父亲的光环太过耀眼，导致鸭泽始终无法超越父亲创造的神话。在父亲去世之后，鸭泽一蹶不振，最终沦落到在乡下养老院里给老人们做饭的境地。
终于有一天，鸭泽决定再也不要这样狼狈的生活了，和妹妹名津菜（上户彩 饰）一起，两人来到了东京，准备去那里最高级的法式餐厅工作。可知道抵达了目的地，姐妹两人才得知，该餐厅的职位名额早已经满了。本来准备放弃返回乡下的鸭泽和津菜，意外的遇见了同样失业的餐厅老板健（阿部宽 饰），命运的齿轮开始了转动。
