After the fall of the Soviet Union, Lithuania found itself in disarray and began to adopt Western concepts to counteract chaos and uncertainty. 'Syndromes Of Mimicry' illuminates the transition - the mismatch between Western concepts and Eastern realities. The camera moves slowly and presents several episodes in which individuals deal with different forms of novelty, such as exposure to foreign languages, racial diversity, new legal frameworks and emotional insecurities resulting from rapid change.
