Der 67-jährige Edgar ist ein überaus erfolgreicher Comedian, der auf der Bühne mit seinem Alter kokettiert und Dinge karikiert, die ältere Menschen betreffen. Abseits der Bühne wird aus dem erfolgreichen Entertainer jedoch ein einsamer und trauriger alter Mann, der seinen Trost in Alkohol und Groupies findet. Nach über 25 Jahren kommt er wieder in Kontakt mit seiner Ex-Frau Eva, die an Krebs erkrankt ist. Beide nähern sich zaghaft wieder an und Eva will Edgar auf der nächsten Tour begleiten.
