En 1956, en la ciudad costera de Benidorm, Sylvia, una poeta estadounidense, pasa su luna de miel. Tras una discusión con su marido, sale a pasear; el sol le pega fuerte y sufre una insolación. Confundida, viaja en el tiempo hasta 2022. Mientras deambula por el futuro, se topa con Belén, una celebridad de la televisión, con la que entabla una buena amistad.
