Un cop desnonats, l’Olívia, el seu germà petit Tim i la seva mare Íngrid ocupen un apartament buit en un barri perifèric. L’Íngrid, naturalment optimista i plena d’energia, cau en una depressió, així que l’Olívia es veu obligada a ocupar el seu lloc i cuidar-la a ella i al Tim mentre s’enfronta al seu propi terratrèmol emocional. Però en el nucli de la dificultat, l’Olívia troba una nova “família” que l’ajuda a reconstruir la seva vida i a aprendre a sobreviure els terratrèmols vitals.
Olivia, a 12-year-old middle class girl, is forced to reorganize her basic needs when her family (mother, little brother and herself) is evicted and forced to live in a squatted apartment on the edge of the big city, in a rough neighborhood. Her mother can no longer bear the situation and falls in a depression, so Olivia has to replace her. It means caring for her brother and her own mother, while dealing with the feeling of an emotional earthquake. But she is not alone, Olivia will make friends that will help her to see her own life from other points of view. Because things don’t always happen the way we want, but we can choose the way we live them.
Barcelone. Ingrid et ses deux enfants, Olivia et Tim, sont expulsés de leur logement du jour au lendemain. Ils s'installent alors dans un appartement vide en banlieue. D'ordinaire optimiste, Ingrid s'enfonce dans la tristesse. Olivia, 12 ans, décide de la soulager en s'occupant de son petit frère. La rencontre des deux enfants avec des voisins chaleureux et hauts en couleur va transformer leur existence en une véritable aventure ! Ensemble, ils vont faire de chaque défi un jeu et de chaque journée un moment inoubliable...
