En l'an 2772, la planète Acmetropolis a été déviée de son orbite par une météorite. Ceci libéra des forces surnaturelles qui furent à l'origine d'une nouvelle génération de héros, les Loonatics. Pour eux, le combat contre le mal ne fait que commencer. Les Loonatics sont les lointains descendants des Looney Tunes ; ils affrontent tout au long de la série les descendants des ennemis de leurs ancêtres ainsi que de nouveaux ennemis.

En el año 2772, en la ciudad-planeta de Acmetrópolis, la caída de un meteoríto ha provocado mutaciones genéticas y otorgado superpoderes a algunos de sus habitantes. Seis de ellos, versiones futuristas de los Looney Tunes, han formado un grupo de superhéroes: Ace Bunny (descendiente de Bugs Bunny), Lexi Bunny (descendiente de Lola Bunny), Danger Duck (descendiente del pato Lucas), Rev Runner (descendiente del Correcaminos), Doctor Tech E. Coyote (descendiente del Coyote) y Slam Tazmanian (descendiente de Taz, el Demonio de Tasmania).

No ano de 2772 um meteoro atinge o planeta-cidade de Acmetrópolis e cria uma nova equipe de super-heróis, os Lunáticos. Composta por 6 descendentes dos Looney Tunes clássicos eles possuem poderes especiais e são guiados pela poderosa e misteriosa Zadavia enquanto protegem Acmetrópolis das forças do mal. A série é considerada uma comédia de ação, misturando o estilo irreverente dos curtas animados da Warner com séries modernas de ação.
