大阪府南東部の南河内地区を舞台に、思春期特有の恋愛や友情、家族との問題に悩む6人の高校生のひと夏の経験を描いた、笑いあり涙ありの青春物語。ぶどう畑が広がる自然豊かな南河内市で、高校2年生の野球部員・大介は、友人の元、健二、昭吾、そして近くの女子高に通う美希や玉子と一緒に、町おこしのためのグルメコンテストに出場することに。やがて大介と元は美希に恋心を抱くようになるが、ある日突然、美希が練習に来なくなってしまう。
