Семнадцатилетний Фарух и его младший брат семилетний Азамат живут с бабушкой на бескрайних равнинах Таджикистана. Однажды братья садятся в товарный поезд своего друга-железнодорожника и отправляются в далекое путешествие в город, где живет их пропавший отец. Фарух намерен оставить младшего брата там, чтобы дать ему лучшую жизнь, но не рассчитывает на несгибаемый и удивительный характер маленького мальчика.
Farukh, un joven de 17 años, y su hermano pequeño Azamat, de 7, viven con su abuela en las vastas llanuras de Tayikistán. Un día, los hermanos suben al tren de carga de un amigo maquinista y emprenden un largo viaje hacia la ciudad, donde vive su padre desaparecido. Farukh se propone dejar a su hermano pequeño allí para darle una vida mejor, pero no cuenta con el inquebrantable y sorprendente carácter del pequeño.
Farukh, 17, dreams of escape. He takes his little brother Azamat, 7, on a train to visit their estranged father. But Farukh has a plan – to leave Azamat behind and disappear. As they journey through the vast countryside, they face unexpected encounters and challenges that test their bond. When they finally reach their father, they discover a reality far different from what they imagined.
