Brother Bear

Trasformato in orso, Kenai intraprende un viaggio per tornare umano. Sulla via incontrerà il cucciolo d'orso Koda, le divertenti alci Rutt e Tuke, mammut lanosi, arieti indisciplinati e tanti altri.

Kenai, un jeune Indien, affronte un ours. Ses frères viennent à son secours. Sitka, l'aîné, sacrifie sa vie pour sauver les deux plus jeunes du féroce grizzly. Kenai se lance alors à la recherche de l'ours, le traque jusque dans un canyon et parvient à le tuer. A cet instant, le ciel s'ouvre, l'éclatante lumière des Grands Esprits vient baigner Kenai et le métamorphose en ours. Lorsque Denahi, son frère, survient, il ne voit que les vêtements déchirés de Kenai et, auprès d'eux, un ours mort. Il croit avoir perdu son dernier frère, et, submergé par la colère et la douleur, jure de traquer l'animal et de le tuer. De son côté, Kenai doit, pour survivre, apprendre à devenir un ours. Afin de retrouver sa forme humaine, il devra voyager jusqu'à la montagne où "les lumières touchent la terre". Là, il pourra demander aux Grands Esprits de lui rendre son apparence première...

En los bosques del noroeste americano vive un niño indio llamado Kenai, cuya vida sufre un giro inesperado cuando los Grandes Espíritus lo transforman en un oso, el animal que más odia. Kenai se hace amigo de un osezno llamado Koda y se propone recuperar su forma humana. Mientras, su hermano (que no sabe que Kenai es ahora un oso) lo persigue para cumplir una misión de venganza en la que está en juego el honor familiar.

Но духи не зря свели Кенаи с Кодой — в час, когда охотник увидит в медвежонке родственную душу, он сможет снова стать человеком…

Quando um rapaz inuíte chamado Kenai é transformado num urso, tem de seguir passos alheios até aprender valiosas lições de vida. A sua jornada disparatada mas corajosa revela-lhe uma floresta cheia de vida selvagem, incluindo o adorável filhote de urso Koda, os hilariantes alces Rutt e Tuke, mamutes lanudos, carneiros barulhentos e mais, tudo na sua senda para se tornar novamente humano.

The film is set in a post-ice age Alaska, where the local tribesmen believe all creatures are created through the Spirits, who are said to appear in the form of an Aurora (astronomy). Three brothers (Kenai, the youngest brother; Denahi, the middle brother; and Sitka, the eldest brother) return to their tribe in order for Kenai to receive his totem, a necklace in the shape of an animal. The particular animal it represents symbolizes what he must achieve to call himself a man. Unlike Sitka, who gained the eagle of guidance, and Denahi, who gained the wolf of wisdom, Kenai receives the bear of love. He objects to this, stating that bears are thieves, and believes his point is made a fact when a bear takes some salmon. Kenai and his brothers pursue the bear, but a fight follows on a glacier, during which Sitka gives his life to save his brothers, although the bear survives. Angered, Kenai heads out to avenge Sitka. He chases the bear up onto a mountain and kills it. The Spirits, represented by Sitka's spirit in the form of a bald eagle, transform Kenai into a bear after the dead bear's body evaporates. Denahi arrives, mistaking Kenai as dead, and believing his bear form is responsible, vows to avenge Kenai by hunting it down.

Em busca de vingança por seu pai ter sido morto por um urso, o índio Kenai acaba sendo amaldiçoado pelos espíritos da floresta e é transformado em um urso. Obrigado a viver sob a nova pele, ele começa a ver a realidade sob a ótica dos animais. Logo faz amizade com outro urso, Koda, mas se vê em apuros quando seu próprio irmão começa a caçá-lo.
