When Hay was seven years old, he found a dead horse in an open field and watched his father and other adults struggle to get rid of it. Unsure of this memory, he is nonetheless very influenced by this incident and, when he cuts himself during a sacrificial rite, everything comes flashing back. Step by step, Hay goes down an inevitable and spiritual path where he confronts the relationship between human and nature, the unity of matter and the living.
À l’âge de sept ans, Hay trouva un cheval mort dans un champ et regarda son père et les autres adultes batailler pour s’en débarrasser. Bien que ce souvenir soit flou, Hay est resté très marqué par l’incident et, lorsqu’il se coupe au cours d’un sacrifice rituel, ces images ressurgissent soudainement. Peu à peu, Hay s’enfonce sur un inévitable chemin spirituel, se confrontant à la relation de l’homme à la nature, à l’unité de la matière et du vivant.
