Am 11.4.1996 forderte der Brand am Flughafen Düsseldorf 17 Tote und 88 Verletzte. Das Unglück legte gravierende Mängel im Brandschutz und Rettungswesen offen. Besonders erschütternd sind die aufgezeichneten Notrufe aus der Air-France-Lounge, während die Einsatzkräfte deren Standort nicht kannten. Unsere Rekonstruktion – von der Ursache bis zu den Rettungsabläufen – basiert auf Interviews mit Experten, Betroffenen und Hinterbliebenen sowie einem eigens erstellten 3D-Modell des früheren Gebäudes.
