Double Impact

Die Zwillinge Alex und Chad (Jean-Claude Van Damme) sind noch Babys, als ihre Eltern ermordet werden. Die beiden Kinder wachsen getrennt auf. Chad wird Karatelehrer, während Alex sich als Gauner durchs Leben schlägt. 25 Jahre später treffen sie wieder aufeinander. Gemeinsam sollen die ungleichen Brüder die Mörder ihrer Eltern aufspüren.

The story begins with the opening of the Hong Kong Victoria Harbour tunnel by business partners Paul Wagner and Nigel Griffith. Paul attends with his wife, and their twin infant sons, Chad and Alex. However, after the celebrations, the family is followed home by a Triad (underground society) hit squad on orders from Griffith and crime lord Raymond Zhang. A shootout ensues, in which Paul and some henchmen are killed. Paul's wife begs them to spare the kids but is killed by Moon (Bolo Yeung), the top henchman. Chad is rescued by the family bodyguard, Frank Avery, and raised abroad. Alex is dropped off on the doorstep of a Hong Kong orphanage by the family maid.

Hong Kong, 1966. Paul Wagner, un industriel, est assassiné ainsi que sa femme par la mafia chinoise. Leurs deux fils, Chad et Alex, des jumeaux seulement âgés de quelques mois, échappent au massacre et sont séparés. 25 ans plus tard, Chad vit aux États-Unis avec Frank, l'ancien garde du corps des Wagner, et est devenu professeur de karaté. De son côté, Alex vit à Hong Kong et mène une existence de malfrat. Chad, qui ignore tout de l'existence de son frère jumeau, et Frank décident de se rendre à Hong Kong afin de retrouver Alex et, par la même occasion, les deux frères que tout opposent vont tout tenter pour venger leurs parents...
