De retour à Gandiol, son village natal au Sénégal, après huit ans de vie clandestine en Espagne, Mamadou s'est engagé à être une force positive dans sa communauté. Avec sa femme Laura, une Espagnole émigrée au Sénégal, et sous le regard bienveillant de Yaaye Khadi, la mère de Mamadou, ils travaillent avec leur communauté pour construire l'« utopie active » exprimée dans le livre « 3052 » que Mamadou a écrit pendant son voyage.
