Thoughtful Mushka and daring Mishka are polar bear cubs who live far up at the North Pole and explore the vast winter world there. When they are out and about, the craziest things happen, including Mushka stumbling over a couple of swan eggs and causing chaos in the bird village, or Mishka befriending the prank-playing baby seal Aura. Soon, however, they are joined by a third: the bear girl Mashka has lost her mother and comes to live with them.

Der nachdenkliche Mushka und der wagemutige Mishka sind Eisbärenjungen, die weit oben am Nordpol leben und dort die weite winterliche Welt erkunden. Wenn sie auf eigene Faust unterwegs sind, passieren die verrücktesten Dinge. So kommt es unter anderem dazu, dass Mushka über ein paar Schwaneneier stolpert und dadurch im Vogeldorf ein Chaos anrichtet, oder dass Mischka sich eines Tages mit der Streiche spielenden Baby-Robbe Aura anfreundet. Doch zu den beiden gesellt sich bald noch ein dritter hinzu – das Bärenmädchen Mashka hat seine Mutter verloren und kommt bei ihnen unter.
