Horst Schlämmer hat die Faxen dicke. Weil in Deutschland alle Menschen nur noch schlecht drauf sind und niemand mehr lächelt, macht er sich auf die Suche nach dem Glück. Irgendwo zwischen Tegernsee und Sylt, zwischen Köln und Dresden, zwischen Geld, Kühen und Sado-Maso-Studios muss es sich doch verstecken. Unterwegs trifft Horst nicht nur die unterschiedlichsten Menschen, die alle ihre eigene Definition vom Glück haben – er bekommt auch eine Diagnose, die ihn das Schlimmste befürchten lässt … Und dann ist da noch sein persönlicher Glücksbringer: Schauspielerin Gabi Wampel, deren Auftritte in Film und Fernsehen ihm immer wieder ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubern. Ist sie vielleicht die Lösung aller Probleme?

Horst Schlämmer en a ras-le-bol. Parce qu'en Allemagne, tout le monde est de mauvaise humeur et que plus personne ne sourit, il part à la recherche du bonheur. Il doit bien se cacher quelque part entre Tegernsee et Sylt, entre Cologne et Dresde, entre l'argent, les vaches et les studios sado-maso. En chemin, Horst rencontre non seulement des personnes très différentes, qui ont toutes leur propre définition du bonheur, mais il reçoit également un diagnostic qui lui fait craindre le pire...
