'Kahal Kadosh, sacred community', portrays life inside a small Jewish community in Temuco, Southern Chile, home of the oldest synagogue in the country. Founded by Sephardic Jews from Macedonia, several factors threaten their future, forcing its members to seek alternatives to assure their continuity, or to accept the end of organized Jewish life in their city. Narrated mainly by female voices, descendants of one of the founding families of the community, their testimony will give a gender perspective, willing to challenge their cultural heritage.
