Ladies of the House

When three women are asked to refurbish a house for their church, they find that they must break down their own self-perception in order to build something together. Birdie (Pam Grier) can't get along with her husband, Rose (Florence Henderson) doesn't want to do anything without her husband, and Elizabeth (Donna Mills) has everything she wants, but nothing to call her own. Filled with heart, humor and hammers, Ladies of the House follows three women who find out that their construction project will mend each of their personal lives in ways they never expected.

Elizabeth, Rose et Birdie sont trois amies retraitées. Encouragées par le pasteur Wesley, elles décident de se lancer dans une oeuvre de bienfaisance en rénovant une maison dont l'argent de la vente ira aux plus démunis. N'ayant aucune connaissance des métiers du bâtiment ni aucun soutien de leurs maris, elles vont se découvrir un talent en réalisant ces travaux avec un professionnel.

A lelkész rá is bízza a feladatot a nyáj három legkarakánabb asszonyára, Elizabethre (Donna Mills), Birdie-re (Pam Grier) és Rose-ra (Florence Henders), akik kénytelenek félretenni személyes nézeteltéréseiket a projekt érdekében. Miközben zajlik a felújítás, kiderül, hogy a három dáma magánélete is renoválásra szorul: Elizabeth házassága a végnapjait éli, Birdie nem képes feldolgozni, hogy a férje nyugdíjba vonul, Rose párjánál (Lance Henriksen) pedig rákot diagnosztizálnak. Végül a három nő együtt, egymást támogatva kerekedik felül a nehézségeken.

Tre amiche di mezza eta', Birdie (Pam Grier), Rose (Florence Henderson) e Elizabeth (Donna Mills), che frequentano la stessa comunita' parrocchiale, decidono di occuparsi della ristrutturazione di una una vecchia casa abbandonata. L'idea e' quella di rivenderla e destinare il ricavato al sostegno dei loro concittadini piu' bisognosi. Il progetto si rivela da subito piu' arduo del previsto poiche' la casa e' in condizioni pessime, ma le tre donne non si lasceranno scoraggiare...
