The plot is set in a fictional post mining boom town where drugs, unemployment, and desperation have become rife.<ref name=":1" /> A tech entrepreneur, Ryan Black, returns reluctantly to his hometown for his father’s funeral.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" /><ref name=":2" /><ref name=":3"></ref> He gets reunited with his ex-con brother, Tyson.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" /><ref name=":3" /> A gang of criminals from their father’s shady past shows up with whom they get entangled in a deadly extortion racket which exposes the dark underbelly of the sleepy town.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" /><ref name=":2" /><ref name=":3" /> The plot also includes Isabella, a single mother played by Jessica McNamee.<ref name=":1" /> George Burgess plays a bouncer.<ref name=":3" /><ref name=":4" />
