Marga Engel, eine Seele von Mensch, gehört seit einem Jahr als Köchin zum Haushalt des gewieften Immobilienmaklers Siegfried Ohrmann, wo sie dank ihrer patenten Rezepte für Leib und Seele nicht mehr wegzudenken ist. Als Frau mit Prinzipien hat Marga schon den einen oder anderen Kampf mit dem durchtriebenen Geschäftemacher Ohrmann ausgefochten. Aber als sie miterleben muss, dass Ohrmann seine Gattin Nele mit seiner attraktiven Assistentin Sybille Gronius betrügt, kündigt „Engelchen“ fristlos.
