(نوال) فتاة بسيطة تعيش مع أخيها المحامي الشاب (ممدوح)، والذي يحتلس مبلغ من العهدة المُوكَلة له؛ فيعلم (طاهر باشا) رب عمله بهذا ويطلب يد نوال أخت المحامي كنوع من الإبتزاز، فتقبل نوال حرصًا منها على مستقبل أخيها وزوجته وتعيش معه دون حب إلى أن تجد الحب مع (خالد).
