Plusieurs groupes de travailleurs migrants venant de provinces rurales ont du mal à gagner leur vie grâce à la démolition ou malgré celle-ci. Vivant dans des conditions violentes et précaires, ils ne s’apitoient jamais sur leur sort, mais transforment plutôt leur vie en une comédie absurde, sombre et amère.
