“A New Spirit” tells the story of two brothers, Jacob and Shmuel. They grow up in a poor, traditional Jewish family. As they grow older, Shmuel develops more and more into an orthodox Jew, while Jacob is touched by the Christian message and spreads the gospel as a Messianic Jew. This leads to a division, not only within the family but also in the entire Jewish-orthodox community, which labels him as a radical who steals Jewish souls. The conflict escalates with major consequences for the entire family.
“A New Spirit” vertelt het verhaal van de twee broers Jacob en Shmuel. Ze groeien op in een arme, traditioneel Joodse familie. Bij het ouder worden ontwikkelt Shmuel zich meer en meer tot een orthodoxe jood terwijl Jacob geraakt wordt door de christelijke boodschap en als Messiaanse jood het evangelie verspreidt.
